Our School's Vision

Background Information: Pierce Terrace moved into our new building in January 2020. The new Pierce Terrace is a 73,942 square foot, one-story building, housing prekindergarten through second grade students. Also, our new school is LEED Silver Certifiable for energy and environmentally sustainable. In addition, operable partitions to enhance educational flexibility and collaboration are available in all grade-level neighborhoods, commons area, and gymnasium. Wireless/WiFi coverage is provided throughout the entire school and areas outside of the school. Furthermore, teaching tools within and outside the building include solar/PV panels, wind turbine, exposed structure, and energy dashboards.

By End of School Year 2022-2023, 80% of pre-kindergarten students will perform within the Creative Curriculum progressions of development and learning levels 4-6 when comprehending and responding to books and other texts (ODL 18c) using the Intentional Teaching Card LL06.

60% of the Kindergarten students will meet or exceed grade level proficiency on the Reading Proficiency Tool Assessment by the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
