Dear Families,

Welcome to Pierce Terrace Elementary School! Whether you are new to the Fort Jackson community or returning for another year as a Dragon, we are delighted you are part of our school. The mission of DoWEA is to “Educate, engage, and empower each student to succeed in a dynamic world.” The team at Pierce Terrace Elementary School is excited to start the school year with a focus on those foundational skills that will support students' learning throughout their education and into the future. Students are the heart of everything we do. At Pierce Terrace, we are dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We partner with parents to ensure that our children are ready to learn and to achieve success. Our commitment is to provide a high-quality education that inspires and challenges our students to meet their full potential. 

To our students, I challenge you to start each day with a learning mindset that allows you to embrace opportunities to try new things. Be curious and ask questions. Be creative and explore the arts and sciences. Be adventurous and take risks in your learning. Always challenge yourself to keep learning. Our teachers are here to support and guide you. 

To our parents, we value your partnership. We believe that a strong home – school connection is essential for students to thrive and develop the foundational skills needed for learning and for life. We look forward to working with you, and we thank you for sharing your children with us.
