Dragon Newsletter
Dear Families,
It has been such a fun and busy week at Pierce Terrace ES! The students enjoyed participating in the Red Ribbon Week dress-up days and events. The parade this morning was filled with smiles. What fun to see the children walking with their favorite books and representing so many great characters! Thank you to all the parents who joined us and cheered for the children.
This week we also held our first SAC Meeting, which was a closed meeting. During that time, we completed required SAC training for elected members and voted on officers. Our SAC representatives are:
Chair – Sasha Snyder
Vice Chair – Larissa Pinckney
Secretary – Chelsea Mendez
IAC Parent Representative – Chelsea Mendez
IAC Staff Representative – Larissa Pinckney
SAC Voting Member – Kristine Albrecht
Next week we look forward to welcoming parents on Tuesday for Pastries with Parents. If you are attending, please follow the signs for parking. This will allow us to keep the drop-off lanes clear. If you live close to the school, please consider walking to Pastries with Parents so we can maximize the use of our available parking.
On Wednesday, November 5, we will host a flu clinic for Pierce Terrace students. For children to receive the vaccine, the parent must be present. The Flu Clinic will be held from 0800 to 1000 in the Flex Lab. As a reminder for all parents, flu vaccine documentation is due by December 1, 2025. Please contact Nurse Emory if you have questions.
Thank you for being part of our school community! Together, we make Pierce Terrace Elementary School special!
